Career at Streichenberg

Streichenberg offers trainees twelve months of practical preparation for the bar exam. While university courses impart the necessary theoretical knowledge in isolation, the job of an attorney-at-law requires the ability to interlink different fields of law as well as an in-depth understanding of the legal context.

What fascinates you about jurisprudence?

Jurisprudence has a direct impact on the daily lives of people. It provides an opportunity to solve social problems and to help people and businesses in a targeted way. Particularly fascinating in jurisprudence is the significance of language and argumentation. On one hand, a thorough understanding of language is essential for interpreting and applying the law. On the other hand, the precise choice of meaningful words and phrases is crucial to achieving the best possible solution.

What is important to you for your career?

For my career, it is key to work in an environment that offers both challenges and development opportunities. I especially appreciate the opportunity to work on demanding cases and to take on responsibility. I am committed to continuous legal education and to learning from the expertise of experienced colleagues. At the same time, I place a high value on trustful relationships with clients and colleagues.

Do you have a motto that fits your personal or professional life?

«Strength lies in serenity»

In both life and jurisprudence, it is often crucial to keep a clear head in challenging situations. Serenity allows you to objectively consider complex facts and make thoroughly considered, well-founded decisions. The power of serenity lies in being able to act purposefully, precisely and effectively in crucial moments.

What expects junior associates at Streichenberg?

Trainees at Streichenberg are not assigned to just one partner; instead, they can get involved in all areas and are actively encouraged and guided. This gives them a broad insight into the different fields and activities. They have contact with clients and authorities, learn what is needed for a court brief, and how to compose a successful legal document. This requires a desire to learn, flexibility, and absolute reliability.
